Peter - Profile & Gallery

Peter was found in a garden in Blyth. He was initially rescued because of the danger from Cats and Dogs in the area. There was clearly something wrong the Peter because when he was approached by another animal or a human, he made no attempt to take flight or escape.

It was later discovered that his right-wing had suffered nerve damage. Although the wing can move slightly, there is clearly not enough power in the wing to enable Peter to fly. This therefore means that he can't be released back into the wild.

Today, he spends his time in an outdoor enclosure, where he is free to move around, and of course, have access to clean drinking water and food; something which most of the Pigeons in Blyth do NOT have access to!
