Had a baby bunny at my workplace and BWR promptly replied to my messages when I got in touch and sent a volunteer to pick it up within a very short space of time, very impressed with their service especially on a Saturday afternoon! They gave advice on what to do and let me know someone was on their way. ☺️read more

I found a dove at my back door this morning with an inured wing and after a plea on FB asking where to take it I was recommend to phone BWR. The lady on the phone was lovely and provided the best advice for me and I was relieved to be told that they would take care of it. I took it to the vets for assessment and they would collect from there. At least the poor little dove is getting the care it needs. Thank you BWR for helping me and the little dove from County Durham. I will be donating to your amazing charity. Thank you for helping me.read more

I volunteered for BWR for a short while but I was removed from the group due to ‘breaking the rules’. I collected an injured hedgehog from someone’s garden and contacted both BWR and another wildlife rescue due to the hedgehog being in such a state. I was advised by the second wildlife rescue to take it to a hedgehog rescue in Longframlington (who have their own vet may I add) so the hog was taken there to be treated. I was then told by BWR I hadn’t followed their advice of taking the hog to them or to the vets that they had advised and was therefore removed from the group. They clearly care for all animals but I think the people that run the charity are clearly petty! I only wanted to do what was best for the hog and have it seen to ASAP!read more

If ever you want to give to charity or a donation, we have first hand experience with the Blyth Rescue Centre and can’t explain enough of the hard work and dedication which goes into the centre, this local charity needs financial support for the amazing job they do. After rescuing our beautiful Dawn and the care and dedication and safe return, it’s been a happy ending and we can’t thank Blyth Wildlife Rescue enough, so please everyone if you can spare the time to follow these guys and if you can spare a donation the money goes along way in helping our local wildlife, I can totally vouch for their dedication.read more

This is a fabulous organisation- a few weeks ago we had a bat in our house....I contacted Blyth Wildlife Rescue for advice, and they sent lots of useful info to see if the bat could be released, but it wouldn't fly. They arranged to collect it the next day and have had it for weeks now, providing care and encouragement to get him/her to fly. Last night, they brought the bat back up to our area and it was really lovely to see him or her fly off into the night's sky....Thank you Blyth Wildlife Rescue...you are all wonderful human beings!read more

i contacted Blyrh Wildlife Rescue this morning (5th May 2019) to report an injured fox, having spoken to an extremely kind lady living almost on the site where the poor animal had been struck by a motor vehicle, and who had taken the animal to her home. Within the hour, BWR had collected the fox and have it in their intensive care unit. Many an organisation would probably have written-off the animal or at best, ended its'life humanely. Not so, BWR! They are doing the utmost, and I cannot thank them enough. Our prayers are with the fox and BWR. Stevie Matthewsread more

John turned up at our door to collect the sick animal whereas other organisations and vets etc were reluctant to take him in or prepared to even meet us halfway.
